INSTALLATION GUIDES AND VIDEOS

FAQ

Is it recommended to install a 45-degree rod with a single fixed panel?
The 45-degree shower rod is not standard for the SFP model, though some customers choose to purchase it separately. The rod does not add extra security but can help reduce minor panel flex. The true stability and strength of the SFP model comes from the silicone application step during installation. If the installation guide is followed precisely, your enclosure will remain stable and secure without the rod.
Does the hardware ship inside with the glass panel?
For glass panels up to and including 33.5”, hardware will ship separately in a white padded envelope. For panels 34” and larger, the hardware is securely attached to the outside of the glass panel packaging. A large “DO NOT DISPOSE” notice is included on the packaging reminding you not to dispose of it until the hardware has been removed.
Will my order arrive in one package?
Most orders ship in multiple packages. Please check tracking details to know how many to expect.
What walk-through space do you recommend for single fixed panels?
Always make sure to follow local code requirements, but we recommend planning for at least 24". If you think you might add a hinged door later, leave 24 ⅜" to allow for hardware.
How do I choose the right size for my space?
Before ordering a GW enclosure, make sure your shower is finished, as measurements change once tile and grout are installed. For dual panel pivot door systems, always order based on your minimum tile-to-tile width. Ordering larger than this minimum will prevent the shower from fitting.
Are shower enclosures reversible?
Yes! Almost all GW showers, including our 90° enclosures, can be installed to open either left- or right-hand to fit your space. The only exceptions are a few specialty styles, such as certain Fluted Sliders, French Monture Sliders, and Fluted Radius Fixed Panels, which require choosing a right- or left-hand model.
Is glass treated with any kind of protective coating?
Yes, all panels are premium tempered glass (3/8" or 5/16") and feature EnduroShield® protection on both sides which helps prevent soap scum, dirt, and other buildup, making cleaning easier, less frequent, and keeping your shower looking like new.
What height options are available?
Full shower models are all 78” tall, except for arch panels which are 86.75” tall. Bathtub models are typically 58.25” tall but range up to 66” depending on the model.
Do stationary panels require silicone?
Yes, applying silicone to the stationary panel is essential. It not only prevents water from leaking but also ensures the integrity, stability, and security of the entire shower enclosure.
